AAM is the first Research and Development Spin-off company that manufactures local algal paste.

DOST accorded Juan Algal Paste the award for “its outstanding contribution in advancing Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) in the country for the sustained economic progress of the Filipino people.”

The algal paste is an innovative and cost-effective steady supply of natural feed in hatcheries that Garibay, a researcher from the Institute of Aquaculture, UPV-CFOS, developed from different algal species.

Garibay expressed her gratitude to all those who supported their technology.

“Thank you, Lord, for this great blessing. Juan Algae is truly for the Filipino people,” Garibay stated.

The product, Juan Algae, is now available in the market.
